How To Birth An Extremely Premature Baby
Our first son, Alfie, came into the world at 22+5. He was extremely premature and died during labour.
In this talk for the Beyond Bea baby loss conference 2019, I share:
- The journey of reciprocal IVF (shared motherhood) that gave Alfie two biological mums
- A condition called polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid) that led to the premature rupture of membranes
- Practical ways in which midwives, doctors and other healthcare professionals can care for bereaved parents
- How to have a positive birth, even in the most devastating circumstances
Over to you
